Ok use 1 sup healing.... sup vigor is always nice... minor DF rune (effigy hooked me on this)... and 2 other runes of your choice

I can't afford sup vig right now, so i use sup healing, minor divine, and 3 attunes

Use a sup prot of course with a prot head piece if you're a prot monk....

You should eventually get both and switch them when you need to

when i made my first monk i was given the impression that generally monks don't use superior, especially in pvp but in pve it isn't as frowned upon. i personally only use minor as it doesn't bother me and there ahve been several situations where having that extra health has saved me, and in turn our entire party.

probably shouldnt use mine because it isn't the best, but
divine favor headset +1 = minor rune of healing, protection, or smiting (whatever build focus)
chest = superior vig
arms = divine favor minor
leggings = attunement rune (+2e)
feet = dazed / ? reduction rune (name?) - or attunement (+2e), just make sure you know area and that there won't be any dazed conditions being given.

definately not the best setup but its what i use. just make sure if you ever set up to 55 that you mirror the attributes in your 2nd set so you can swap them at any time. helps when your bonding and what not, to get a few extra points in protection prayers before you cast life barrier and life bond without lowering another attribute. also helps if you don't know how to 55 and you get too much dp you need to take off a superior rune i liked my old monk set up, but that was before they added all these new runes that you can add so it is irrevelant now.

All minor attribute runes, superior vigor rune. Vitae or condition runes if you have space.

I use the same setup as Rera mentioned, which unfortunately doesn't provide any room for Vitae/Attunement if you want all your bases covered.

If you were going to use a superior attribute rune, I'd recommend putting it on the scalp, which is the most likely piece to be swapped out (also, the cheapest). In PvE you could get away with using a superior, but it's not really necessary. I don't use a superior attribute on any character but my warrior, and I'm even having second thoughts about that now that PvP armor swapping is disabled.

First of all, attunement runes are useless, as are tats. What matters to a monk isn't the size of the energy pool, it's how fast she can regain her energy after using it. I blight with 25e default, and it's perfectly comfortable for me.

Superior runes don't make any sense. You could almost get away with it in PvE, except that the AI won't cooperate and there's far too much heavy area-effect damage.
